My review ofAlan Wake 2makes it obvious I’m a huge fan, not just of the game butRemedy’s work overall.
With that said, I’m not blind to some of the flaws of the company, including the often missing features at launch such as chapter selection. It’s not compulsory by any means, but when you consider the lack of photo mode as well, you begin to wish things were a little more filled out.

Slowly but surely, the Finnish developer has been working on the game, even after the dramatic Final Draft which gave many the narrative closure they were searching for. This time around, the latest updatehas added a chapter select feature. As the name suggests, this’ll let you replay any of the past chapters you’ve completed already which, for many, means multiple replays of Chapter 4.
Personally, I’m a fan of Old Gods and am impressed with Remedy’s ability to turn an old age home into one of the scariest locations I’ve explored. It also means you don’t have to wait until that no point of return in Chapter 6 to complete your collectibles grind.

Somewhat unexpectedly, Remedy adds these two caveats:
Full list of 1.05. Remedy update
The full list of updated features is as follows (contains spoilers):

We’re still waiting for a few moreupdates from Remedy, including a photo mode. There are also two DLCs planned with the first,Night Springs, scheduled for Spring 2024.
